For decades, Lilly Kutty Thomas welcomed family and friends with authentic home cooked Indian meals. In 2020, her son, Jiji, opened Lilly's to share those same recipes, flavors, and warm hospitality with everyone who walks through our doors.

Lilly Kutty Thomas expressed her love through food. Her kitchen was a place where family gathered, traditions were celebrated, and every meal was prepared with care. After her passing, her son, Jiji Thomas, made the life changing decision to leave his corporate career in 2010 to open his first restaurant in Old City, Philadelphia, beginning a journey inspired by his mother's passion for authentic Indian cuisine.
It had always been Jiji's dream to one day open a restaurant in his mother's name and in her honor. That dream became a reality in 2020 with the opening of Lilly's. Built on her values of quality, authenticity, and heartfelt hospitality, Lilly's continues her legacy through every meal we serve. From sourcing premium spices directly from India to preparing every dish fresh to order, we remain committed to the same care, tradition, and attention to detail that defined her kitchen.
Today, Lilly's is more than a restaurant. It's a tribute to a mother's love, a family's traditions, and the belief that the best meals are made with exceptional ingredients, shared with the people you love, and served with genuine hospitality.
